Hello, my beloved family and friends! Sending you warmest greetings and love in the name of the Lord.
During the pandemic, my family and I closed a wonderful 14 years of living in Hong Kong and returned to the United States. We are currently serving at Orlando Harvest Church. We are so grateful for God’s grace, which has faithfully led us along the best possible path through every season, and we pray that His overflowing peace fills your life as you read this.
In joyful obedience to the command to "love your neighbor as yourself" and the call to share the Gospel, we are taking a big step of faith. Carrying the immense love we’ve received, we will be heading out on our first short-term mission trip to Indonesia from August 9th to August 20th.
It is such a blessing and a privilege to partner with our church family and leaders for the expansion of God’s Kingdom. As this is my first mission trip, I can’t wait to see firsthand the amazing things God is doing in Indonesia. I am ready to offer practical, meaningful encouragement to local missionaries, ministries, and everyone waiting to hear the Gospel.
📍 Where We Are Stepping Foot!
- Where are we going? We are heading to the island of Kalimantan (Borneo), Indonesia! While we are staying there, we will travel to and minister in two different regions.
- What is it like there? Indonesia is the world's largest island nation, made up of 17,508 islands and a staggering 740 languages! On Kalimantan island alone, there are about 83 distinct languages spoken.
- What will we be doing? We are excited to partner with Wycliffe Bible Translators, a global leader in scripture translation, to support their important language ministry. In addition, we plan to operate customized evangelism programs for local churches and residents, especially women, children, and the elderly.

- Boldness to Breakthrough Barriers: Please pray that we will not be hindered by language, cultural, religious, or environmental barriers. Pray also that we will be filled with the Holy Spirit to confidently fulfil the mission entrusted to us.
- Health and Safety: Please pray for protection over our team during long travels and in unfamiliar environments. Pray that everyone remains healthy, energized, and safe throughout the entire journey.
- Abundant Fruit in Ministry: Pray for the ongoing Bible translation projects to be completed. We also ask that the hearts of everyone we meet will be opened wide, so we can witness abundant spiritual fruit!
- Gracious Financial Support: Please pray that all necessary funds—including airfare, required medical expenses, and local ministry costs—will be fully provided.

안녕하세요! 주님의 이름으로 사랑의 인사를 드립니다.
저와 저희 가족은 코로나 기간에 14년간의 홍콩 생활을 정리하고 미국으로 돌아와, 현재는 올랜도 하베스트 교회를 기쁘게 섬기고 있습니다. 어떤 상황에서도 가장 좋은 길로 이끌어 주신 주님의 은혜에 감사드리며, 이 편지를 읽으시는 모든 분의 삶에도 평강이 넘치기를 기도합니다.
저는 "네 이웃을 네 몸과 같이 사랑하라" 하신 말씀과 복음 전파의 명령에 순종하여 그동안 받은 큰 사랑을 품고, 다가오는 8월 9일부터 20일까지 인도네시아로 첫 단기 선교를 떠나게 되었습니다. 하나님 나라 확장을 위해 교회 가족들과 리더들과 한마음으로 동역하며 갈 수 있게 되어서 얼마나 감사하고 큰 축복인지 모릅니다. 첫 도전이라 무척 설레고 기대가 됩니다. 하나님께서 그곳에서 행하시는 놀라운 사역들을 직접 경험하고, 현지 선교사님들과 복음을 기다리는 영혼들에게 실질적이고 강력한 힘이 되어 주고 돌아오겠습니다!
📍 우리가 발을 디딜 선교지는요!
- 어디로 가나요? 인도네시아의 칼리만탄(Kalimantan) 섬으로 갑니다! (그 안에서 두 지역을 순회할 예정이에요.)
- 어떤 곳인가요? 인도네시아는 17,508개의 섬과 무려 740개의 언어가 있는 세계 최대의 섬나라입니다. 저희가 가는 칼리만탄 섬에만 약 83개의 언어가 존재한답니다.
- 무슨 사역을 하나요? 세계적인 성경 번역 단체인 '와이클리프(Wycliffe Bible Translators)'와 협력하여 성경 번역 사역을 돕고, 현지 교회와 지역 주민들(여성, 어린이, 어르신들)을 위한 맞춤형 복음 사역을 하고 있습니다.
