Did you know that 99.999% of Christian resources remain in
countries where the church is already established? That means
that less than than .001% of Christian resources are being
directed to those who need the gospel the most. If this remains
true, how will the news of Jesus reach a world in
need?
When I began serving at Harvest, one of my desires was to build a
church that was committed to the glory of God among the nations.
I believe God has been faithful to honor that prayer. Each of our
19 house churches partner with overseas workers, all of whom are
serving in the 10/40 Window, the area between 10 degrees and
40 degrees north latitude. The 10/40 Window is home to the's
largest concentration of unreached people groups: 90% of the
world's least-reached live in this area. Indonesia lies within
this window and this summer, our church will be going to partner
with some of our workers there.
From August 9-20, twelve members from Harvest will be sent out to Indonesia where we will partner with friends engaged in the work of Bible translation on the island of Kalimantan. They are in the final stages of translating the Bible into the heart languages of seven different Bible-less people groups. We will seek to encourage them in that and rally excitement for the Word of God among the locals. We will also seek to equip church leaders with workshops on preaching and evangelism while also serving in children's, youth, and women's ministries.
I want to ask you for your prayers for our trip. Missions is a fight for God's glory. It's spiritual warfare. Thus we desperately need your prayers. In addition to prayers for our ministry, I'm asking you to pray for unity, health, and wholly surrendered hearts. If you're led to financially partner, please know that your gift will be an investment into eternity and a sowing into your walk with God as well.
Thank you for your partnership in the Gospel! To God be the glory!
